High Tea In London

Alright, if there is one thing you need to know about me before reading this article, It is that I LOVE high tea (which is why Jonathon proposed to me during high tea, but that’s a long story you are going to want to read about separately on How They Asked).

Anyhow…. I’m about to spill the tea on the best places to enjoy high tea while in London!

the langham - west end

One of the nicest places you can get high tea in the heart of London at West End is The Langham. While high tea here is going to be significantly more expensive than if you were to find a local spot, the experience (food, ambiance, and of course tea) in my opinion is definitely worth it. I strongly suggest making a reservation if you plan on coming here for high tea, and make sure you come hungry! You will start off by choosing your tea (you can try as many different types of tea as you would like during you time), you will then be served a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, followed by fresh baked scones (with clotted cream and fresh preserves of course), and pastries.

candella tea room - kensington

If fancy schmancy high tea is not your thing, no worries! We found the cutest, coziest, most eclectic tea room in Kensington that literally looks like it is straight out of a fairy tale (it’s basically everything I envisioned for a classic high tea experience). Candella Tea Room located in Kensington, and we happened to stumble across it while we were walking along one afternoon. We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table, but it was 100% worth it! It was easily less than half the price of the high tea we had at The Langham, and we still go mini finger sandwiches, scones (with clotted cream and jam), and some of the most delicious pastries I have ever had! Since it was mid afternoon and I wanted a pick me up, I had a pot of the black vanilla tea , which ended up buying and bringing home with me!
